The UK Ankle Arthritis Academy was held in Newcastle upon Tyne, June 2024. A fantastic comprehensive instructional meeting designed to address the need for education and revalidation for clinicians managing ankle arthritis.  An event Jason was delighted to attend and meet with colleagues to swap thoughts and ideas to continue to develop the best care possible for his patients.

The agenda included supra malleolar osteotomy indications and techniques, decision-making in end-stage ankle arthritis, primary and revision ankle arthrodesis, primary and revision total ankle arthroplasty, management of complications including prosthetic joint infection, and case-based discussions. Jason’s NHS practice alongside his previous work has given him great experience across many of these areas, however, to learn further from some of the other experts in attendance was an excellent opportunity.
